  KwaNdengezi Market Day in Action Entrepreneurship met teamwork as the KwaNdengezi GL2E team hosted a successful Market Day filled with opportunity and community spirit. The team organised themselves into five business areas: fast food, beauty hair salon, pantry and eggs, cosmetics, and fruit and vegetables — each contributing to the day’s success. Our EnviroChamps proudly demonstrated how skills are being transformed into real business opportunities. The day ran smoothly, sales were strong, and the team proved that when we work together, we achieve more together.

On Friday (6 February 2026), we were honoured to have students from TWIMS (Toyota Wessels Institute for Manufacturing Studies) and GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science). They visited factories in the Hammarsdale area, including our site, as part of their Environment of Business Module. The module helps students understand the worker and community context, the history and development of the area, and the real operational challenges businesses face on the ground. Their task is to observe the operating environment, consider the relationships between different social actors, and assess what that environment means for business performance — both the opportunities and the constraints. At Use It Waste Beneficiation (RF) NPC, the conversation focused on a key question: how do organisations build resilience and adaptability as the external environment changes rapidly?
